Nestled in the small unincorporated community of Holstein, Missouri, Immanuel United Church of Christ remains a popular gathering place in Warren County. Established in 1884, the historic red brick church has been occupied for over one hundred years by parishioners. The local people have a long, important relationship with the Church. First established by German immigrants, the love for community has been passed down through generations. The nearby church in Concord Hill, St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, was also established by German immigrants. Immanuel United Church of Christ in Holstein is a Presbyterian Christian parish, while St. Ignatius of Loyola Church is Roman Catholic Christian.
